 HSSC NEWS for 2023 (Updated 7/4/2023)

HSSC has a GREAT 2023 planned!  WOW!

•  Conformation!  HSSC participated in the spring Blue & Gray shows at the Harrisburg PA Farm Show
  Complex!  Designated specialties and supported entries — April 12th - 16th 2023.  A number of our members had a GREAT showing at these events!  Congrats to our HSSC members!
•  All-Breed Obedience/Rally Trials! April 29th - 30th 2023, Papillonia Dog Training Academy, Red Lion PA.  It was a fantastic weekend and we were jammed-packed with entries! A great event, and a fantastic venue at Papillonia DTA!  Thanks to the entire obedience/rally club committee for all of their work!
•  Agility!  Our 2023 August and December trials are coming up this year!  Once again we will hold our two-day agility trial weekend on August 19th - 20th 2023, and our holiday agility trial weekend on December 15th - 17th 2023.  These are great trials!  Go to https://bvtrainingcenter.com for the premiums!
• Scent Work!  HSSC is planning a two-day scent work trial (containers and exterior) for September 30th - October 1st 2023.  Check back regularly for more information and for the premium right here!
•  Herding Fun Days All-Breed Workshop!  June 3rd - 4th 2023
  WOW WOW WOW!  We have had amazing interest in this event!  EYERYONE had a fun and successful time! Thanks to Amanda Nickle of Scarlet’s Mill Farm Herding for her incredible expertise, and to the participants for their great cooperation!  All of the dogs did a great job!  Interested in 2024?  Watch for the new entry information in early February 2024 right here on this website!
•  Seminars! We have plans in the pipeline for a number of scent work and agility seminars.  Watch our website during 2023 for more specific information!
• Member events!  We held our annual member banquet in January, as well as our summer picnic back in September.  Our 2023 summer picnic and banquet dates are yet to be determined… check back soon!
•  HSSC Rescue, in conjunction with our companion organization, Heart’s Promise Sheltie Rescue, works very hard to find new homes for rescued Shelties!  Find out LOTS MORE about our rescue Shelties on our HSSC RESCUE page!
