 HSSC NEWS for 2024 (Updated 3/17/2024)

HSSC has a GREAT 2024 in place!  Check it out!

•  Conformation!  HSSC is holding designated specialties in conjunction with Harrisburg Kennel Club on April 12th and 13th 2024.  This is part of the spring shows at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex.  More details may be found on our Events page!
•  All-Breed Obedience/Rally Trials! Once again, HSSC holding a two-day all-breed rally and obedience trials weekend at Papillonia Dog Training Academy, Red Lion PA.  Dates are April 27th and 28th 2024.  It is always a great trial experience!  The premium and more information may be found on our Events page!
•  Agility!  We are “downsizing” our agility trials beginning this year.  We will only be holding our three-day trials in December; we are no longer holding our August agility trial weekend.  Dates are December 13th - 15th 2024 at Bella Vista Training Center.  More information and premium, when available, are on our Events page!
•  Scent Work!  HSSC is planning a two-day scent work trial for late September.  It is still in the planning stages.  Check back regularly for more information and for the premium right here when it is ready!
•  Herding Fun Days All-Breed Workshop!  June 1st and 2nd 2024
  WOW!  We have had amazing interest in this event in all previous years!  EYERYONE always has a fun and successful time! Thanks to Amanda Nickle of Scarlet’s Mill Farm Herding for her incredible expertise, and to the participants for their great involvement!  All of the dogs did a great job last summer!  Interested in giving herding a try?  UPDATE as of March 17th:  This event has FILLED!  Wait list will be maintained.
•  Member events!  We held our annual member banquet in January, as well as our summer picnic back in September 2023.  Our 2024 summer picnic and banquet dates and location are yet to be determined… check back soon!
•  HSSC Rescue, in conjunction with our companion organization, Heart’s Promise Sheltie Rescue, works very hard to find new homes for rescued Shelties!  Find out LOTS MORE about our support for rescue Shelties on our HSSC RESCUE page!  Remember that portions of all of our trial and workshop proceeds go to annual support of HPSR!
